Committee

LGBTQsoc is run by an elected committee of Oxford University students. Although they all have their defined roles within the committee, you will see all of them running the bar at weekly drinks and all of them are friendly and willing to be contacted about anything LGBT-related! Click on their individual names to load the individual contact forms.

Committee positions last three terms, and there are two main election periods each year, so during your time in Oxford you will almost definitely see some changeover, and have a chance to run for a position yourself.

President
Jasper Adamson - until June 2012
Here to see that the society functions well and to provide it a general direction. Some of their duties include meetings with LGBTQ venues in Oxford, meetings with potential sponsors, sending out the weekly newsletter and organising some more general events and all of this to make sure the society's members benefit from and enjoy the LGBTQ scene in Oxford. They're happy to be contacted with any question or about any matter and always happy to see how we can take things further and make things even better than they already are!

Secretary
Sam Weinberg - until June 2012
The Secretary works with the president keeping the committee in check - primary duties are keeping minutes at committee meetings and co-ordinating with the University authorities to make sure we do everything by the book.

Treasurer
Max Goplerud - until June 2012
The Treasurer has the (un)enviable job of recording the society's accounts and watching out that we don't run out of money.

IT officer

The IT officer designs and updates LGBTQsoc's website, which you are looking at right now, as well as maintaining the members mailing lists and the committee email addresses.

The Entz rep is here to entertain the society by organising fun events all year round.

Graduate reps

Female Welfare
Isobel Gordon - until June 2012
Female Welfare works with the other Welfare Reps in running the Fresher Buddy scheme for freshers in Michaelmas term, and the rest of the year she is here to provide advice and support for LGBT students. Female Welfare also works with Female Entz to represent the ladies in the society.

Male Welfare

Trans reps
Gail Bartlett and Lyman Gamberton - until December 2012
The Trans reps also help to run the Queer Parenting scheme for freshers in Michaelmas term, and the rest of the year are here to provide advice and support for LGBT students. The Trans reps also ensure that trans, genderqueer, and intersex students are not ignored.

Bisexuality rep
