Membership of LGBTSoc is only £10 and lasts for life (so, if you live another 60 years, it's about 17p per year!). And it gets better - because of the discounts on gay nights in Oxford and on some LGBTSoc events, you can recoup the cost of membership in the first three weeks! After that, you're actually saving money by being a member...
"So what are these discounts?" I hear you cry? Well, if you're sitting comfortably:
Membership also enables you to run for positions on the society committee, allowing you to be the one making decisions. And if you don't want to get involved yourself, it also gives you the power to vote in our elections.
You don't have to be a student to be a member of LGBTSoc - anyone can join, and many of our events are open to all. Some priveleges will only be available to those of our members who are also members of Oxford University, but the discounts apply to everyone. Whether you're an undergraduate, postgraduate, visiting student, alumni, student at a different university, member of staff, or anything else, you are welcome to join the society!
